Product Care

Each Kandil is a living light. With a little mindful attention, you can ensure your handcrafted candle burns beautifully from the first light to the last.

The First Burn

Allow the wax to melt across the entire surface on your first burn. This prevents 'tunneling' and ensures your candle burns evenly every time.

Wick Trimming

Keep the wick trimmed to about 1/4 inch before every lighting. This helps control the flame and prevents soot from forming on the clay.

Safe Stillness

Keep your candle away from drafts, vents, and flowing air. This prevents uneven burning and keeps the flame steady and calm.

Soulful Reuse

When only 1/2 inch of wax remains, it's time to repurpose. Gently clean the clay jar to keep it as a vessel for small treasures.

The Second Life of
Clay

Our clay jars are designed to outlast their life as a candle. Once the wax is gone, simply pour warm water (not boiling) into the jar, let it sit, and wipe away the remaining wax with a cloth.

These jars make beautiful holders for succulents, makeup brushes, or your morning coffee. In our world, nothing beautiful ever truly goes to waste.
