By accessing or using the Kandil By Claykala website, placing an order, creating an account, or otherwise using our services (the “Services”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy. Where they address personal information, the Privacy Policy controls.

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to place an order or create an account. By using the Services, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

You may need an account to place orders, save addresses, or manage your wishlist. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may suspend or close an account if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated or if needed to protect the store, our customers, or our craft.

We handcraft candles and related goods in small batches. Product photos, descriptions, scents, and colors are meant to be accurate, but slight variations are natural to handmade clay and poured wax. Such variations are not considered defects.

Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (₹) unless stated otherwise and may change without notice. The price charged is the price shown at checkout when you complete your order. We reserve the right to correct pricing or listing errors and to cancel orders affected by obvious mistakes.

Availability is not guaranteed. If an item becomes unavailable after you order, we will contact you and offer a suitable alternative, a revised timeline, or a refund for that item.

Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept your order when we confirm it by email or within your account. We may decline or cancel an order for reasons including stock limits, payment issues, suspected fraud, or shipping restrictions.

Payment is due at checkout through the secure payment options we provide. You represent that you are authorized to use the payment method selected. We do not store your full payment card numbers.

Order confirmation emails are for your records; they do not guarantee that every item will ship if an issue arises after confirmation.

We currently ship across India. Please allow time for artisan preparation (typically a few business days) plus courier transit. Estimated timelines are shared on our Shipping page and at checkout; they are estimates, not guarantees.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and contact number. Delays or failed deliveries caused by incorrect details, unavailability at the address, or courier issues outside our control are not our responsibility. Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery to the address you provided (or as otherwise required by applicable law).

Shipping charges, if any, are calculated at checkout. Promotional free-shipping offers may apply subject to their stated conditions.

Our return and exchange practices are described on the Returns & Exchanges page. In summary:

• Eligible unused items in original packaging may generally be returned or exchanged within 7 days of delivery.
• Please report damaged or incorrect items promptly (ideally within 48 hours of delivery) with photos so we can make it right.
• Return shipping for standard change-of-mind returns is typically handled by you, unless we advise otherwise.

Refunds, when approved, are issued to the original payment method after we receive and inspect the return. Processing times may vary by bank or payment provider.

Candles involve an open flame. Always burn within sight, keep away from children, pets, drafts, and flammable materials, and follow the care guidance on our Product Care page and on product packaging. You assume responsibility for proper use of products once delivered.

All content on the Services — including the Kandil By Claykala name and marks, logos, product photography, text, design, and graphics — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, scrape, republish, or commercially exploit our content without prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use incidental to shopping on the site.

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Interfere with the operation or security of the website
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in connection with an order or account
• Use automated tools to scrape or harvest content or product data without our consent

The Services may link to third-party sites (for example, social media). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Visiting them is at your own risk.

The Services and products are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free access to the website. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under Indian law.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kandil By Claykala and its owners, artisans, and team members are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services or products.

Our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for the product(s) giving rise to that claim, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kandil By Claykala from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer protections, courts in India shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
